You feel angry, ashamed and disconnected.
“I’m having a hard time forgiving myself for the past…”
“I feel numb all the time…”
“It’s hard for me to trust people…”
“I feel broken…”
Trauma… a broad term that describes a spectrum of painful experiences.
Something happened to you in the past and you do everything in your power to avoid it, numb it, or bury it.
It impacts the way you see yourself: shame, blame, unlovableness. It impacts the way you see others: not understanding, untrustworthy, harmful. It impacts the way you see the world: unpredictable, unsafe, hopeless.
It fractures and impacts every aspect of your being.
We’ve all experienced trauma to some extent…
Whether there was a defining moment or a slew of experiences that led you to feel unsure of yourself, it’s hard to put back the pieces of self once shattered.
Trauma therapy can help you process what’s happened to you, uncover the ways it impacts your daily life, and learn the skills that help you reconnect to your mind and body. You can put the pieces back together and become whole again.
What would life look like if you felt whole again?
You would feel more attuned to your body and its needs, safer and more fulfilled in your relationships, emotionally grounded even in times of stress, and more hopeful for the future. You would be more gentle and empathetic towards yourself, trust in your ability to navigate difficult situations, and believe in your power to create a life aligned with the vision you have for it.

Trauma can be incredibly debilitating, but often times on the other side of pain is power. In therapy, we’ll start by slowly unpacking your past painful experiences so that we have a better understanding of how it’s impacted your sense of self, relationships, and how you show up in the world. This will become our roadmap for equipping you with the skills that will heal your trauma at the mind (distorted thoughts, shame, blame, anger) and body (emotional dysregulation, destructive habits, eating/sleeping behaviors) level for whole healing from trauma. Once you’re stabilized, you’ll start taking steps toward the life you envision.
